The pathway progresses from awareness to alignment, participation, and support.

International frameworks covering climate, sustainability, ESG and organisational resilience have been developing globally for some time. In January 2025, Australia introduced its first mandatory sustainability reporting requirements. While the mandatory requirements initially apply to large corporates, the Sustainability Reporting Standards issued by the Australian Accounting Standards Board also provide a voluntary reporting pathway, setting the foundation for broader adoption over time.

The THRIVE Education Modules provide practical awareness training in resilience, sustainability and ESG for a range of organisational stakeholders. While the modules form part of the Practical Start consulting product, they can also be delivered as standalone education for organisations seeking to better understand the impacts, obligations and opportunities associated with using ESG measures to build organisational resilience.

The modules are designed to improve understanding, support informed participation and help stakeholders engage confidently in resilience-related projects and initiatives.

Audience Streams

The THRIVE Education Modules are structured around four audience streams:

  • ESG Awareness

Designed for an organisation-wide audience, this module introduces the core concepts, language and principles of ESG, sustainability and resilience. It helps participants understand why these topics matter and how they relate to organisational performance, governance and long-term resilience.

  • Kick-off

Designed for stakeholders involved in a Practical Start project, this module provides the awareness needed to support informed stakeholder selection, project participation and effective management of the Practical Start delivery process.

  • Involved Stakeholders

Designed for stakeholders who will contribute directly to identifying, assessing and implementing resilience solutions. This module builds the awareness required to participate meaningfully in the development of practical, organisation-specific resilience actions.

  • Impacted Stakeholders

Designed for stakeholders who will be affected by a resilience solution or its implementation. This module helps participants understand the purpose of the change, the expected impacts and their role in supporting successful adoption.
